En
contraposición a un entorno muy heterogéneo, se concibe un edificio
estéticamente neutro. Una piel homogénea y blanca, como un caparazón, recubre
todo el exterior del edificio; sólo allí donde se dobla hacia dentro, aparecen
unos intersticios de color amarillo reflejo de luminosidad y calidez interior.
In contrast to a
heterogeneous environment, an aesthetically neutral building is conceived. A
homogeneous, white skin, like a shell, covering the entire exterior of the
building; only where it bends inward, yellow-coloured interstices appear as a
result of inner luminosity and warmth.
El
edificio permite articular dos tramas urbanas diferenciadas: la de la ciudad
jardín con viviendas unifamiliares y una nueva zona residencial de grandes
bloques. Éste se desarrolla en forma de L, con un ala en planta baja paralela a
la única calle urbanizada, calle Torre Esteper, que incluye todo el programa de
servicios: gimnasio, cocina, comedor, biblioteca y administración; y otra ala
en planta baja +1, paralela a una calle prevista en el nuevo planeamiento, que
contiene el programa docente: clases de infantil en planta baja y clases de
primaria y complementarias en planta primera.
The building allows to
articulate two distinct urban plots: the garden city with detached houses and a
new residential area of large blocks. This develops itself into an L shape,
with a wing on the ground floor parallel to the single urbanized street -Torre
Esteper Street- which includes all the
service program: gym, kitchen, dining room, library and administration; and
another wing, on the ground floor plus 1, parallel to an planned street under
the new plan, which contains the educational program: child classes on ground
floor and primary and supplementary classes on first floor.
Como elemento rótula de todos los
espacios, un gran vestíbulo con doble altura concentra tanto el acceso a la
zona de infantil como el de primaria y sirve de zona de relación con la
administración, los servicios y el propio patio exterior.
As an ball-joint
element of all spaces, a large hall with double height focuses both access to
the play area and the primary zone, and serves as a connection zone with the
administration, services and the outdoor patio itself.
In order to meet the
tight construction deadlines (10 months), we worked with structural,
constructive pre-industrialized systems and dry mounted systems. A precast
concrete, in the two large sheds, is combined with a metallic structure in the
lobby area, porches and changing rooms.
Se
unifica la piel exterior con un solo material (chapa minionda ondulada) que se
adapta a las diferentes necesidades convirtiéndose en fachada, cubierta, falso
techo o brise-soleil y pasando de opaca
a micro perforada cuando es necesario que penetre la luz pero no la radiación
solar directa que tiene que ser tamizada.
The outer skin is
unified with a single material (minionda corrugated sheet) that adapts to the
different needs, becoming facade, roof, ceiling or bri-soleil and going from
micro perforated to opaque when it is necessary to penetrate the light but not
the sunlight that has to be sieved.
Interiormente
se busca la calidez y el confort utilizando materiales naturales y reciclados.
Los cerramientos ligeros se revisten mayoritariamente con tableros de virutas
de madera OSB y las carpinterías son de madera de pino natural. En el techo, la
chapa ondulada micro perforada exterior penetra y se extiende a través del
vestíbulo, pasillos y zonas comunes, ocultando conductos y cableado y, a la vez,
mejorando el confort acústico.
Inside warmth and
comfort is sought by using natural and recycled materials. The light enclosures
are mostly cladded with OSB wood chipboard and the carpenters are made of
natural pine. On the roof, the outside micro-perforated corrugated steel
penetrates and extends itself through the lobby, corridors and common areas,
hiding conducts and wires, improving, at same time, the acoustic comfort.
En
todo el edificio se potencian las visuales hacia el exterior, principalmente a
lo largo de toda la fachada en contacto con el patio, protegida por un porche
lineal en voladizo que evita la radiación del sur y permite un espacio
semi-exterior muy extenso a cobijo.
Throughout the
building, the visual outwards are enhanced, mainly along the entire facade in
contact with the courtyard, protected by a linear cantilevered porch, preventing south radiation and allowing a
very large semi-outdoor and sheltered
space.
